Coloured bath resurfacing in Stroud, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and people most often call us about faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

When to call us in Stroud

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Customers generally contact us about:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • How to look after the finish
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

10 questions to ask before you book

DIY repairs versus a professional job

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

When we’d advise against a repair

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • Work done at your home or business
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • The material, if you know it
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Where you are, by postcode

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
