Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Swallowbeck. The price depends on:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The material

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Send photos for a quote

You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Swallowbeck

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, we can help, on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths alike.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Swallowbeck as everywhere else we work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Swallowbeck questions

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Lincolnshire. Just include your postcode and we’ll offer you dates.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Do you charge for travel?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

Will the price change on the day?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Aftercare advice
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How changes to the job are handled

DIY repairs versus a professional job

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

Repair or replace in Swallowbeck?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • Everything repaired in place

Take a look at our prices page and bath cost comparison.

When a repair isn’t the answer

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

What we do, step by step

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to one to two days for a full suite, tidy-up included.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Getting a price

Send us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your LN6 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
