Landlords, agents and businesses in Terhill

If you manage property in Terhill, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Terhill as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Terhill

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, in coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repairing versus replacing in Terhill

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

What happens on the day

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Advice

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Terhill

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Are there extra charges for Terhill?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Are you accredited?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Terhill?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

Most people get in touch after spotting something like this:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Before booking anyone

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • How long it needs to cure
  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your photos

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

What a repair cannot fix

A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
