Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Tibshelf

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can usually put it right, whatever the material.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Honest limits

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

If you manage property in Tibshelf, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we will come back with a combined price.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The type of damage

Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Send photos for a quote

Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A picture taken from further back
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode

Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in Tibshelf, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

How it works

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Ask for a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

FAQs for Tibshelf

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Tibshelf. Prices don’t change with location.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We come back with a fixed price. You’re under no obligation.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first.

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Tibshelf. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
