Coloured bath resurfacing for Treoes homes

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Treoes

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We are frequently asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Treoes as everywhere else we work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What affects the price in Treoes

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How easy the damage is to reach

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your pictures

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Treoes questions

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Can you price it without visiting?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Are there extra charges for Treoes?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What information do you need?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

For landlords and businesses

For anyone letting property in or around Treoes, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Common problems we fix in Treoes

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What to look for in a quote

  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • How your room will be protected
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges

Repair or replace in Treoes?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Fixed prices from your pictures

Read our full price list and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What we can’t put right

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

How the visit works

We work cleanly and quietly. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price

Upload a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, with your CF35 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
