Coloured bath resurfacing in Ty-draw

What affects the price in Ty-draw

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • How much damage there is
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The type of damage
  • The material

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Getting a price from pictures

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Ty-draw, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Repair or replace in Ty-draw?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

What you get with us

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • No need to remove anything
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Ty-draw: your questions answered

Do you work in Ty-draw?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Ty-draw for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Is there any odour?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

When we’d advise against a repair

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

How the visit works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Clear the area around the damage

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How to look after the finish
