Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Wadesmill

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Wadesmill. The price comes down to:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material and finish
  • How much damage there is
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Send us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your SG12 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Wadesmill

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When we would advise against a repair

Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Make sure the area is dry

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Questions from Wadesmill

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

Will you leave a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Is my repair covered?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.

Do the materials smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

Common problems we fix in Wadesmill

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for these signs:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What to look for in a quote

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • What preparation is included

Our hiring checklist

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Why book with us
