Coloured bath resurfacing near Walton

Coloured bath resurfacing in Walton, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people get in touch are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repairing versus replacing in Walton

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why book with us

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

How it works

Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

How to get a price

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

FAQs for Walton

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Do you cover Walton?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Walton. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we’ll quote them together.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Walton

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What a repair can’t fix

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:

  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. Try to include:

  • Any details about the material
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
