What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Coloured bath resurfacing in Waterford without replacing anything

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The type of damage
  • What the surface is made of
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Access to the area

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the pictures on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The material, if you know it

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Waterford, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

For landlords and businesses

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Waterford: your questions answered

What information do you need?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

What happens after I send photos?

You will get a fixed quote back, generally with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across Hertfordshire.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

Are there extra charges for Waterford?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What happens on the day

Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Advice

What we’re called out for in Waterford

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • What aftercare is recommended
