Coloured bath resurfacing in West End, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Edinburgh. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to West End. The price comes down to:
- What kind of damage it is
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Send photos for a quote
Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The material, if you know it
- Something in shot to show the size
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

West End questions
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It clears as the materials cure.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, and that includes West End. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You will get a fixed quote back, plus dates. There’s no obligation to book.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
For landlords and businesses
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in West End as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
What we are called out for in West End
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.
The things customers generally mention when they call include:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
What your quote should include
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What preparation is included
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
The process
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Point us to the nearest place to park
How to get a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
