Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Whitegate
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The process
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Open a window if you can
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Advice
What a repair cannot fix
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Questions from Whitegate
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
What do you need from me?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Do you cover the whole of Cheshire West and Chester?
All of Cheshire West and Chester, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Will there be a smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Why Whitegate customers choose us

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. The main factors are:
- What the surface is made of
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- The type of damage
Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A picture taken from further back
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
