What we do, step by step
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes one to two days for a full suite in most cases. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.
How to prepare
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Ask for a price
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Wideopen: your questions answered
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you price it without visiting?
Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Wideopen?
Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your NE13 postcode.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Wideopen?
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What affects the price in Wideopen
Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The type of damage
Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should you replace it?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Why book with us

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
