Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Wildmill

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Wildmill

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair can’t fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Wildmill

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Before booking anyone

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • How long it needs to cure
  • How the colour is matched

How to compare quotes

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

How to get a fixed quote

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Wildmill questions

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we will quote them together.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Plan for a day or two, depending on how many items. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

How to prepare

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Open a window if you can
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
