Coloured bath resurfacing for Willaston homes

What affects the price in Willaston

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Quotes from your photos

Two or three clear photos are generally enough. It helps if you send:

  • Any details about the material
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A picture taken from further back

Most customers in Willaston get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Willaston

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Willaston?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for these signs:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Before you book anyone

  • What aftercare is recommended
  • How the colour is matched
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

10 questions to ask before booking

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Willaston as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Willaston: your questions answered

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Which areas do you work in?

All of Cheshire West and Chester, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners across Cheshire West and Chester.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

When we’d advise against a repair

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why book with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Everything repaired in place
  • No extra charge for your area

See our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How it works

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

How to get a price

To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We will say straight away whether it can be repaired.
