- Repairs from £95

Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a damaged board frequently means lifting boards to reach it, finding a board that matches and relaying. Repairing it leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why book with us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- One visit for most repairs
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

Wood floor repair at your home in Bellingham
Boards are repaired where they lie, matched to the colour and grain. Laminate swollen by water cannot be repaired, and we’ll tell you if that is the case. We’re often asked to fix chipped board edges and gouges from moving appliances, across wood-effect vinyl (ask us), laminate flooring and engineered wood.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe up spills promptly.

When a repair is not the answer
We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Laminate swollen along the joints by water
- Boards that have lifted or warped
- Underfloor damage
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Bellingham questions
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Will the price change on the day?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Work for landlords and builders
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Northumberland and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
How we price wood floor repair
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Bellingham. The price reflects:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The type of damage
- Access to the area
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Getting a price from pictures
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:
- The material, if you know it
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A wider photo showing the whole floor
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Most clients in Bellingham get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
