Wood floor repair in Cliff without replacing anything
Boards are repaired where they lie, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Laminate swollen by water cannot be repaired, and we’ll tell you if that is the case. We are frequently asked to fix gouges from moving appliances and burns, in solid wood, engineered wood and wood-effect vinyl (ask us).
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking. Use felt pads under furniture and wipe up spills promptly.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Cliff

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
Repairing versus replacing in Cliff
Swapping a damaged board can mean lifting the floor back to it, finding a board that matches and relaying. A repair works with the boards in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
Why book with us
- Same prices wherever you are

What we can’t put right
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- Laminate swollen along the joints by water
- Boards that have lifted or warped
- Underfloor damage
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on
- Wood-effect vinyl (ask us)
- Engineered wood
- Solid wood
- Laminate flooring
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
How we price wood floor repair
Prices start from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Cliff. The price depends on:
- How many areas need work
- Doing more than one item at once
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Access to the area
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Cliff. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Send pictures for a quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A wider photo showing the entire floor
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Cliff: your questions answered
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
What happens if you find more damage?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Do you cover the whole of Staffordshire?
Everywhere in the UK, Cliff included. Travel is included in the price.
Can you repair a scratched laminate floor?
Yes. Scratches and chips are filled and matched to the pattern.
Do you work in Cliff?
We do. We send a technician to Cliff for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
