Wood floor repair near Denton

Wood floor repair at your home in Denton

We repair damaged boards in place, matched to the colour and grain. Laminate swollen by water cannot be repaired, and we’ll be honest about that. Common call-outs are for gouges from moving appliances and burns, in engineered wood, wood-effect vinyl (ask us) and laminate flooring.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe spills right away.

Denton: your questions answered

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide. Prices don’t change with location.

Can pets and children be at home?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Does the room need clearing?

Just around the damaged area.

Do you work in Denton?

We do. We send a technician to Denton for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, sourcing a matching board and laying it all again. Repairing it leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why Denton clients choose us

  • No need to remove anything
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

What wood floor repair costs

Prices start from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • The material and finish
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your pictures

Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:

  • One picture of the entire floor
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

How it works

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, tidy-up included.

  1. First the damaged area is cleaned.
  2. Dents, chips and gouges are filled.
  3. We level the repair to the board surface.
  4. The colour and grain are recreated by hand.
  5. We finish the repair to match the sheen of the floor.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
