Wood & laminate floor repair in Rothes, Moray
Wood floor repair in and around Rothes: a fixed quote from photos, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Chipped board edges
- Scratches from furniture and pets

Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
About our wood floor repair in Rothes
Boards are repaired where they lie, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Laminate swollen by water cannot be repaired, and we will tell you if that’s the case. If you’re dealing with dents from dropped items and gouges from moving appliances, we can help, on laminate flooring, engineered wood and solid wood alike.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe up spills promptly.

The process
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job generally takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We clean the damaged area.
- Next we fill the dents and chips.
- We sand the repair flush with the board.
- The colour and grain are recreated by hand.
- Finally we match the sheen of the floor.
Before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
Getting a price
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Related advice
Should you replace it?
Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, finding a board that matches and relaying. Repairing it leaves the floor down. Prices start from £95. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The size and number of damaged areas
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Send photos for a quote
You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A wider photo showing the entire floor
- Something in shot to show the size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Rothes questions
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Are there extra charges for Rothes?
We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire floor and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Does the room need clearing?
Only from the area we’re working on.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
What happens next?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
