Wood floor repair in The Grove

Wood floor repair at your home in The Grove

We repair damaged boards in place, matched to the colour and grain. Water-swollen laminate needs replacing, and we will be honest about that. Our technicians work on solid wood, laminate flooring and engineered wood, and common reasons people contact us are dents from dropped items and gouges from moving appliances.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe spills immediately.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

If you manage property in The Grove, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:

  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How many items we do on one visit

Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Getting a price from pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • The material, if you know it
  • One picture of the entire floor
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We will say immediately if a repair is the right fix.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We clean the damaged area.
  2. Dents, chips and gouges are filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the board.
  4. We match the colour and grain by hand.
  5. We finish the repair to match the sheen of the floor.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Repairing versus replacing in The Grove

Swapping a damaged board can mean lifting the floor back to it, sourcing a matching board and relaying. Repairing it leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for The Grove. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why The Grove customers choose us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

The Grove questions

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Can you repair a scratched laminate floor?

Yes. We fill and colour-match scratches and chips.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

How much does wood floor repair cost in The Grove?

Repairs from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You will get a fixed figure before booking.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Honest limits

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • Underfloor damage
