Yes. We fill and colour-match scratches and chips.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Can you price it without visiting?
Normally, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Do you cover The Village?

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
Wood floor repair in The Village without replacing anything
We repair damaged boards in place, with the colour and grain matched by hand. Water-swollen laminate needs replacing, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case. We are frequently asked to fix scratches from furniture and pets and gouges from moving appliances, across wood-effect vinyl (ask us), laminate flooring and solid wood.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Put felt pads on furniture legs and wipe up spills promptly.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a damaged board frequently means lifting boards to reach it, finding a board that matches and laying it all again. A repair leaves the floor down. Our wood floor repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Can I fix it myself?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What happens on the day
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.
- We start by cleaning the damage.
- Dents, chips and gouges are filled.
- We sand the repair flush with the board.
- The colour and grain are recreated by hand.
- We finish the repair to match the sheen of the floor.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Point us to the nearest place to park
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

How we price wood floor repair
Prices start from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

- One picture of the whole floor
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
