How we price wood floor repair

Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material and finish
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Tre-gynwer. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Your questions about wood floor repair in Tre-gynwer

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

Do you cover Tre-gynwer?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Tre-gynwer. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a board can mean lifting the floor back to it, sourcing a matching board and laying it all again. A repair works with the boards in place. Prices start from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

What you get with us

  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • No extra charge for your area

Should I try a DIY kit first?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

How it works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, including clearing up.

  1. First the damaged area is cleaned.
  2. We fill dents, chips and gouges.
  3. We level the repair to the board surface.
  4. The colour and grain are recreated by hand.
  5. Finally we match the sheen of the floor.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know about parking or access
