Kitchen sink repair in Waterside

About our kitchen sink repair in Waterside

Repairs are matched to the original finish, so the kitchen stays as it is. If the vinyl wrap has lifted across a door, it typically needs re-wrapping; we repair chips and dents. If you are dealing with dents and scuffs on cabinets and damage from fitting or moving appliances, we can help, whatever the material.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Use a sink mat or bowl for heavy pans, and dry the door edges after spills.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a sink or door can mean disturbing the worktop, cabinets and plumbing, or finding a matching door that’s been discontinued. A repair keeps your kitchen as it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

What kitchen sink repair costs

Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A photo taken from further back
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Honest limits

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • Doors where the vinyl wrap has lifted across a large area
  • Doors swollen by water
  • Sinks cracked through the base

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Cabinet ends & plinths
  • Gloss and matt cupboard doors
  • Composite sinks
  • Ceramic Belfast & butler sinks
  • Vinyl-wrapped doors

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes a morning or an afternoon. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. We start by preparing the damage.
  2. Chips are filled and edges rebuilt.
  3. We sand the repair to the original profile.
  4. We colour-match to the sink glaze or door finish.
  5. We polish or seal the repair.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
