Non-slip bath coating in Snargate

How we price non-slip bath coating

Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • How much damage there is
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed quote

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any details about the material
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your TN29 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

About our non-slip bath coating in Snargate

It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. We regularly repair resurfaced baths, enamelled baths and shower trays, and the jobs we see most are worn-out textured areas and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Signs you need non-slip bath coating in Snargate

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

Customers typically contact us about:

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

Choosing a repair company

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Typically one visit, start to finish

What a repair can’t fix

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Shower trays

For landlords and businesses

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Kent and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
