Non-Slip Bath Coating for Wagg homes
Clear non-slip coatings for baths and shower trays at your home in Wagg, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Worn-out textured areas
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

Repair or replace: which is better?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Wagg
It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. If you are dealing with worn-out textured areas and safety for older or less mobile people, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Prices and what affects them
Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How many areas need work
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Doing more than one item at once
Compared with replacing, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
What happens on the day
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.
- First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, normally overnight.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

Wagg: your questions answered
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
Will a non-slip coating change how my bath looks?
Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.
Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?
Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Wagg.

- Outdoor surfaces
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
