How we handle non-slip bath coating in Whipsnade
The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. We regularly repair acrylic baths, wet room floors (ask us) and shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are worn-out textured areas and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

What we do, step by step
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
- We mask out the area to be treated.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, typically overnight.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access

When to call us in Whipsnade
Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
What to look for in a quote
- What aftercare is recommended
- How long it needs to cure
- How your room will be protected
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
What a repair can’t fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

How we price non-slip bath coating
Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How hard the colour is to match
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Quotes from your photos
When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
For landlords and businesses
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Why repair rather than replace?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Why us?
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- One visit for most repairs
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
- Same prices wherever you are

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
