About bath repair in TA2
Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Our repair technicians work on pressed steel enamel, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people contact us are rust spots around the plughole and a kit repair that didn’t last.
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to two to three hours for most chips.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Cost
Our bath repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- One visit for most repairs
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
How to get a price
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. There’s no charge for travel to TA2. The price comes down to:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The colour and finish to match
- How many areas need work
- The type of damage
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can price the job.
Should you replace it?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is often needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that.
Questions to ask before booking
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- How your room will be protected
- What prep work is covered
- When it can be used again
Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Landlords, agents and businesses in TA2
For anyone letting property in or around TA2, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in TA2 as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
What a repair can’t fix
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
