Bath repair across TW5: what to expect
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can usually bathe again the following day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Our technicians work on cast iron enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding, and the jobs we see most are rust by the waste and overflow and scuffs and scratches in the surface.
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you’re not left guessing. Once we are there, the work takes two to three hours for most chips. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, usually the day after.
What it costs in TW5
Our bath repair starts from £95. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

What affects the price in TW5
Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for TW5. The price reflects:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for TW5. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Quotes from your photos
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A picture taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.
Why repair rather than replace?
People often assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Generally it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement.
Questions to ask before booking
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- Whether they match the colour on site
- Who turns up on the day
How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine.
A small chip is a quick job. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.
Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
How the damage happens
Rust tends to begin where water collects, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Chips under the taps
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
FAQs for TW5
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.
Is a bath repair permanent?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Usually, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Do you cover TW5?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to TW5. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Often, if there is access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
