Tile repair near Aberriw

Tile repair in Aberriw, done in place

We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We regularly repair porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles and natural stone & granite, and the jobs we see most are drill holes from removed fittings and discontinued tiles you can’t replace.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Questions from Aberriw

Can a cracked tile be fixed in place?

Generally, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.

What happens next?

You’ll get a fixed quote back, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.

What about drill holes in tiles?

Yes. Drill holes from old rails and shelves are a common job.

Do you cover Aberriw?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Aberriw for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Do you charge for travel?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Send pictures for a quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • One picture of the whole tiled area
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

DIY repairs versus a professional job

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will handle the rest.

10 questions to ask before you book

What happens on the day

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
