Tile repair near Cunninghamhead

Tile repair in Cunninghamhead, done in place

If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will say so. We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. We’re often asked to fix cracked floor tiles and drill holes from removed fittings, on floor and wall tiles, ceramic tiles and natural stone & granite.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

How it works

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

What you get with us

  • No need to remove anything
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Colour mixed on the day to match

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Questions from Cunninghamhead

Do you come to Cunninghamhead?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Cunninghamhead and the rest of East Ayrshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and we will quote them together.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

What happens after I send photos?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Cunninghamhead.

What a repair can’t fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Natural stone & granite
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Marble
  • Porcelain tiles

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How much damage there is

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Cunninghamhead. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Something in shot to show the size

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
