Tile repair in Little Canada, done in place

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. The tile stays where it is, so you don’t need to find a spare. We’re often asked to fix discontinued tiles you can’t replace and cracked floor tiles, on floor and wall tiles, ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Little Canada. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Usually one visit, start to finish

See our prices page.

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Your questions about tile repair in Little Canada

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Little Canada.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK, so Little Canada is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.

What happens after I send pictures?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Little Canada use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Little Canada. The price reflects:

  • The material
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How much damage there is

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Quotes from your pictures

Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

What we do, step by step

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It generally takes a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
