Trusted tile repair in Newfoundpool

What tile repair costs

Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • The type of damage
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Access to the area
  • The colour and finish to match

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The material, if you know it
  • Where you are, by postcode

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Tile repair in Newfoundpool without replacing anything

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will say so. The tile stays where it is, so you do not need to find a spare. Our repair technicians work on natural stone & granite, ceramic tiles and marble, and people most often call us about discontinued tiles you can’t replace and drill holes from removed fittings.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

How it works

Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for a few hours. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the tiled area, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

When we’d advise against a repair

  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. A repair keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • One visit for most repairs

Read our prices page.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
