Toilet chip repair near Longrock

How we handle toilet chip repair in Longrock

Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll tell you if that is what we find. Chips are rebuilt and colour-matched to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. We’re frequently asked to fix marks on the outside of the pan and chips on the pan or rim, in toilet pans, vitreous china and cisterns & lids.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone. Take care with heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair keeps the toilet you have. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take an hour or two, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.

Preparing for the visit

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

How to get a price

How we price toilet chip repair

Repairs from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • How much damage there is
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send pictures for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A wider photo showing the entire toilet
  • The material, if you know it

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll say immediately whether it can be repaired.

Landlord and trade work in Longrock

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Longrock as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

When to call us in Longrock

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • Chips on the cistern lid
  • Pieces knocked off during fitting
  • Marks on the outside of the pan
  • Chips on the pan or rim
