Toilet chip repair in West End

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many areas need work

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Getting a price from photos

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

How we handle toilet chip repair in West End

Chips are rebuilt and colour matched to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. A crack that leaks cannot be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll tell you if that is what we find. We regularly repair cisterns & lids, pedestals and porcelain, and the jobs we see most are damage from dropped items and chips on the pan or rim.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we have gone. Avoid dropping heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

West End questions

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

Can you repair a chipped toilet?

Yes. Chips to the pan, rim, cistern and lid are the most common jobs.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Usually, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

DIY kit or professional repair?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes an hour or two, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. We sand the repair level.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. The repair is polished so it blends in.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

How to get a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Repair or replace in West End?

Replacing a toilet means a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. Repairing the chip leaves it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
