Trusted uPVC repair in Crystal Palace

Repair or replace: which is better?

A new window, door or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair leaves the unit in place. Our uPVC repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Why book with us

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Work done at your home or business

uPVC repair in Crystal Palace without replacing anything

We fill and refinish the damage to match the frame, including woodgrain finishes. Builders and developers use us for snagging repairs too. We’re often asked to fix damage during building work and burns on sills, across coloured and woodgrain uPVC, window frames & sills and white uPVC.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will come back. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Honest limits

A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Doors & door panels

Your questions about uPVC repair in Crystal Palace

What does uPVC repair cost?

Prices start from £95. Every job gets a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Can you match woodgrain uPVC?

Yes. Colour and grain are matched by hand.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send photos.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is there a call-out fee?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • What the surface is made of
  • What kind of damage it is

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One picture of the entire window, door or sill
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole window, door or sill, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Signs you need uPVC repair in Crystal Palace

uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders, tools and building work scratch and chip it, candles and cigarettes burn sills, and removed fittings leave holes.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • Scratches from ladders and furniture
  • Burns on sills
  • Chips and dents
  • Holes from removed fittings and alarms

What your quote should include

  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Who turns up on the day
  • What preparation is included

10 questions to ask before booking

What we do, step by step

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.

  1. First the frame or panel is cleaned.
  2. We fill scratches, chips and holes.
  3. The repair is sanded smooth.
  4. The finish is colour matched, woodgrain included.
  5. We blend the repair into the surrounding surface.

Preparing for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
