How we handle uPVC repair in Gosford

The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the frame, including woodgrain finishes. We also do snagging repairs for builders. If you’re dealing with burns on sills and chips and dents, we can usually put it right, on window frames & sills, conservatory frames and doors & door panels alike.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Repair or replace: which is better?

A new window, door or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. Repairing the damage keeps the original. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Same prices wherever you are
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

See our prices page.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a morning or an afternoon for most jobs. We leave the room clean.

  1. We clean the frame or panel.
  2. We fill scratches, chips and holes.
  3. The repair is sanded smooth.
  4. The finish is colour-matched, woodgrain included.
  5. The repair is blended into the surface around it.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

How to get a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

FAQs for Gosford

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can a burnt window sill be fixed?

Yes. We fill and refinish the burnt area to match.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

What happens if you find more damage?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Can you quote from photos?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Gosford.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Honest limits

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Window frames & sills
  • Conservatory frames
  • White uPVC
  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Doors & door panels

Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

How we price uPVC repair

Repairs from £95. There’s no charge for travel to Gosford. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Email us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your OX5 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
