We also do snagging repairs for builders. The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We regularly repair conservatory frames, window frames & sills and doors & door panels, and the jobs we see most are burns on sills and chips and dents.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

How we price uPVC repair

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the window, door or sill, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.

DIY kit or professional repair?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What a repair cannot fix

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Conservatory frames
  • Window frames & sills
  • White uPVC
  • Doors & door panels

When to call us in Law

uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders and building work leave scratches and chips, candles and cigarettes burn sills, and removed fittings leave holes.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Burns on sills
  • Chips and dents
  • Scratches from ladders and furniture
  • Holes from removed fittings and alarms

Before you book anyone

  • What prep work is covered
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

10 questions to ask before you book

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair keeps the original. Our uPVC repair starts from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to care for it.

  1. First the frame or panel is cleaned.
  2. Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
  3. We smooth the repair.
  4. The finish is colour matched, woodgrain included.
  5. Finally we blend it into the rest of the frame.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
