Common questions in Pant

Can you quote from photos?

Usually, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

What happens after I send pictures?

We come back with a fixed quote. There is no obligation to book.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Can you repair a burn on a uPVC sill?

Yes. The burn is filled and refinished to match.

uPVC repair in Pant, done in place

We also do snagging repairs for builders. We fill and refinish the damage so it blends into the frame, woodgrain finishes included. Whether it’s holes from removed fittings and alarms and scratches from ladders and furniture, we can generally put it right, on doors & door panels, window frames & sills and conservatory frames alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents or scourers.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Conservatory frames
  • White uPVC
  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Window frames & sills
  • Doors & door panels

10 questions to ask before booking

What affects the price in Pant

Prices start from £95. We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • The material and finish
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The type of damage

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

How to get a fixed quote

You can take the photos on your phone. Make sure they show:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Details of any past repairs

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire window, door or sill, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage keeps the original. Our uPVC repair starts from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

For landlords and businesses

For anyone letting property in or around Pant, we will quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we will price them together.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

The process

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We clean the frame or panel.
  2. Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
  3. We sand the repair smooth.
  4. The finish is colour-matched, woodgrain included.
  5. The repair is blended into the surface around it.

Before we arrive

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
