Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Inverclyde and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
How we handle uPVC repair in Port Glasgow
The damage is filled and refinished to match the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We also do snagging repairs for builders. We regularly repair white uPVC, doors & door panels and window frames & sills, and people most frequently call us about chips and dents and holes from removed fittings and alarms.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents or scourers.

Your questions about uPVC repair in Port Glasgow
Can you repair a burn on a uPVC sill?
Yes. We fill and refinish the burnt area to match.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, and that includes Port Glasgow. Prices do not change with location.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
What information do you need?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Do you work in Port Glasgow?
We do. Repair technicians travel to Port Glasgow from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Why repair rather than replace?
A new window, door or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage keeps the original. Prices start from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Advice
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Access to the area
- What the surface is made of
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- The material, if you know it
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Signs you need uPVC repair in Port Glasgow
uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders and building work leave scratches and chips, candles and cigarettes mark sills, and old fittings leave holes.
The most common problems we are called about are:
- Burns on sills
- Chips and dents
- Scratches from ladders and furniture
- Holes from removed fittings and alarms
What your quote should include
- Who will actually do the work
- Aftercare advice
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- What happens if they find more damage
When a repair isn’t the answer
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Failed or misted double glazing units
- Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
- Frames that are warped or out of square
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Window frames & sills
- Conservatory frames
- Doors & door panels
- Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
- White uPVC
Can I fix it myself?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
