Repair or replace: which is better?
A new window, door or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair leaves the unit in place. Prices start from £95. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- One price list for the entire UK
- No need to remove anything
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Usually one visit, start to finish

uPVC repair in The Village without replacing anything
Builders and developers use us for snagging repairs too. We fill and refinish the damage to match the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We regularly repair doors & door panels, coloured and woodgrain uPVC and conservatory frames, and common reasons people contact us are chips and dents and burns on sills.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Don’t use solvents or scourers.

The process
Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- We clean the frame or panel.
- Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
- We smooth the repair.
- We colour-match the finish, including woodgrain effects.
- We blend the repair into the surrounding surface.
Before we arrive
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire window, door or sill, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Advice
The Village: your questions answered
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.
What happens after I send photos?
You will get a fixed quote back, generally with dates to choose from. There’s no obligation to book.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Do you repair coloured uPVC?
Yes. We recreate the colour and grain by hand.

- Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
- Frames that are warped or out of square
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
What uPVC repair costs
Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- The material
- How many areas need work
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many items we do on one visit
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A picture taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
