How it works

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First the frame or panel is cleaned.
  2. Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
  3. We sand the repair smooth.
  4. We match the colour, including woodgrain finishes.
  5. The repair is blended into the surface around it.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Ensure the area is dry

uPVC repair in West Kensington, done in place

Builders and developers use us for snagging repairs too. We fill and refinish the damage so it blends into the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We regularly repair window frames & sills, coloured and woodgrain uPVC and white uPVC, and people most often call us about scratches from ladders and furniture and holes from removed fittings and alarms.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Should you replace it?

Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage keeps the original. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • Colour-matched on site
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

What uPVC repair costs

Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to West Kensington. The price comes down to:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How many areas need work

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Quotes from your pictures

Phone pictures are fine. Ensure they show:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A wider photo showing the entire window, door or sill
  • The material, if you know it
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

Common questions in West Kensington

Do you cover the whole of Greater London?

Across the UK. Prices don’t change with location.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Can a burnt window sill be fixed?

Yes. We fill and refinish the burnt area to match.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

When we would advise against a repair

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Window frames & sills
  • Doors & door panels
  • White uPVC
  • Conservatory frames
  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

For landlords and businesses

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
