How we handle worktop repair in Limbrick
A new worktop rarely matches the old one, particularly where several lengths join. A repair leaves the kitchen untouched. We’re frequently asked to fix a heat mark or burn and a chipped edge, across quartz, granite & marble and laminate.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Limbrick and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What we are called out for in Limbrick
Water around the sink can get into laminate and wood joints, which can cause swelling.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Knife marks
- Gouges in the surface
- Chips caused during installation
- Chips on edges and corners

What we can’t put right
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Laminate swollen by water from underneath
- A worktop that has moved because its support has failed
- Severe heat marks in quartz

Should I try a DIY kit first?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- Access to the area
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The material and finish
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
How to get a fixed price
Two or three clear photos are generally enough. It helps if you send:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- The material, if you know it
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
How the visit works
Visits start with a quick look at the job together. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. You can expect it to take a few hours.
- We look at the damage and the worktop’s finish.
- Burnt or loose material is cut back.
- We fill and shape the damaged area.
- We recreate the pattern, flecks or grain.
- It’s finished to the same sheen and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Ensure the area is dry
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
Related advice
Looking after it afterwards
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Re-oil timber worktops
- Do not leave spills to soak in
- Take care with heavy pans near edges
- Avoid harsh chemicals on stone and quartz
Let the repair cure for the time we give you before putting anything heavy or hot on it. After that, trivets and chopping boards are your best protection.
Don’t leave damage by the sink, as water can get in and cause swelling.
Should you replace it?
A new worktop means removing the old one, cutting and fitting a new one and refitting the sink and hob, and matching the rest of the kitchen can be hard. Repairing the damage leaves the worktop in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Limbrick questions
How do I get a price for worktop repair in Limbrick?
Prices start from £95. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Do you cover Limbrick?
We do. We send a technician to Limbrick for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.
Can you match granite flecks?
We match colour, flecks and veining by hand, so the repair blends into the surface.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
