Worktop repair in New Farm Loch without replacing anything
Worktops are expensive to replace and hard to match, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. We’re often asked to fix chips on edges and corners and a chipped quartz edge, across quartz, laminate and solid surface (such as Corian).
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Repairs by material
Granite and stone
Granite and stone chip at edges and cut-outs. We fill and polish the repair to match the stone.
Laminate
Laminate worktops have a printed decorative layer over a board core. Chips and burns are filled and the pattern recreated.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing even one length of worktop means templating, cutting, fitting and often a new sink and hob connection. A repair takes a few hours and leaves everything in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How we price worktop repair
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including New Farm Loch. The price reflects:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Natural light rather than flash
- A picture taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
Send us photos of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in New Farm Loch, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.

Yes, often. We match the colour and polish the repair.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Related advice
When a repair isn’t the answer
It helps to know what we cannot do too:
- Discolouration deep in quartz
- Failed support under the worktop
- Water-swollen laminate
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we work on in New Farm Loch
- Quartz
- Laminate
- Solid surface (such as Corian)
- Solid wood
- Granite & marble
How to look after the repair
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Keep wood oiled
- Take care with heavy pans near edges
- Avoid harsh chemicals on stone and quartz
- Don’t let water sit on joints
Hot pans should always go on a trivet. Heat can mark quartz and stone as well.
Daily use can make burns and chips worse particularly around the sink. Repairing it sooner keeps the job smaller.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
