Bath repair in Southend-on-Sea

Bath repair at your home in Southend-on-Sea

Most baths can be used again the next day. We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. We work on pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and people most often call us about scratches and burns and cracks and holes in acrylic baths.

Most bath damage starts with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal will start to rust once water gets in. Acrylic baths, on the other hand, crack when they flex, often around the taps or the plughole.

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
