Bath re-enamelling at your home in Burnley

Resurfacing renews the whole surface of the bath without a refit. It’s the answer when the entire bath is tired rather than one spot. Typical jobs include thin, worn enamel in places and a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean, across basins & shower trays, Victorian roll-tops and acrylic baths.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Burnley. What changes the price is:

  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the whole bath
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Burnley?

Previous coatings can fail too, peeling around the waste or bubbling. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Brown or grey marks that do not clean off
  • A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
  • Wear marks under the taps
  • A coloured bath you want in white

Comparing quotes

  • How soon you can use it again

How to compare quotes

Should you replace it?

A replacement often means several trades over several days. Resurfacing takes one technician and generally a day. Prices start from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Why us?

  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Usually one visit, start to finish

What we can’t put right

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
  • Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Burnley use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

What we do, step by step

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes the best part of a day, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know about parking or access

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Burnley.
