Bath Re-enamelling in Bushmead
Damaged bath in Bushmead? We put it right where it is, mix the colour on the day and guarantee the work for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating

Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that is rusted through
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Bath re-enamelling in Bushmead without replacing anything
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. Typical jobs include a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and an outdated colour you’d like to change, across cast iron baths, acrylic baths and pressed steel baths.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back.

How to look after the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Never use suction bath mats
- Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale can’t build up.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and rust spots spread under the surface. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we will arrange it.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Why repair rather than replace?
For a sound bath, resurfacing costs far less than replacement, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s also far quicker. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Most jobs done in one visit
Read our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Bushmead questions
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes, most people go for white. Mention the colour you want when you send pictures.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No, it stays where it is. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room masked and ventilated.
How do I book?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just make sure the landlord agrees.
Can you quote from pictures?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Bushmead
Older baths frequently have several problems at once: worn patches, chips, rust spots and stains. Resurfacing sorts them out together.
Common reasons people in Bushmead contact us are:
- An old resurfacing that’s failing
- Stains that will not shift
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
Questions to ask before booking
- How the colour is matched
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- How soon you can use it again
- What protection goes down before work starts
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
How the visit works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a full day. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Ensure the area is dry
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
