Bath re-enamelling in Church Village, done in place
We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. The preparation is what makes it last, so we don’t cut corners on it. We regularly repair basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and Victorian roll-tops, and the jobs we see most are an old resurfacing that’s failing and worn patches where water runs and sits.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

Why repair rather than replace?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is typically much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s also far quicker. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Church Village. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why Church Village customers choose us

- Straight answers about what a repair can do
- Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

When we would advise against a repair
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Church Village. The price comes down to:
- The material and finish
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How many items we do on one visit
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- One picture of the whole bath
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Natural light rather than flash
If you are in Church Village and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Work for landlords and builders
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Church Village use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Aftercare tips
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Never use suction bath mats
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading, and each one adds to the preparation. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Church Village questions
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
What areas do you cover?
All of Rhondda Cynon Taff, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Will there be fumes?
There is some smell while the coating is applied, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It fades as the coating cures.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Do you resurface freestanding baths?
Yes, often. The inside is resurfaced, and we can refinish the outside as well.

The process
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a full day. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
How to prepare
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
How to get a price
