Bath re-enamelling near Dalton

Bath re-enamelling in Dalton without replacing anything

Re-enamelling gives a worn bath a new glossy surface without a refit. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. Typical jobs include chips and rust in more than one place and an outdated colour you’d like to change, in acrylic baths, cast iron baths and basins & shower trays.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Re-enamelling is one technician, usually one day, and the bath is usable the day after. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

FAQs for Dalton

How do I book?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Will there be fumes?

Some odour is normal while we spray, so we ventilate the room. It fades as the coating cures.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

What areas do you cover?

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It usually takes the best part of a day, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Getting a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Dalton. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many areas need work
  • The colour and finish to match

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Aftercare tips

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
  • Repair dripping taps early
  • Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish

Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.

Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface.

What your bath is made of matters

Pressed steel

Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.

What we cannot put right

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • A metal bath with a through crack
  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
  • Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
