Bath re-enamelling in and around Drumbuie: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350

- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off

About our bath re-enamelling in Drumbuie
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. Whether it’s a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and a coloured bath you want in white, we can generally put it right, on acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays alike.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Questions from Drumbuie
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.
Is there a smell?
There is some smell while the coating is applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as the coating cures.
How do I get a price for bath re-enamelling in Drumbuie?
Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed price from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your IV40 postcode.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Aftercare tips
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Never use suction bath mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Store bottles off the bath
- Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish
Treat the new finish gently at first: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
What else we do in Drumbuie
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The material and finish
- Access to the area
Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Getting a price from pictures
Phone photos are fine. Ensure they show:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any details about the material
- Where you are, by postcode
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Should you replace it?
For a sound bath, resurfacing costs far less than replacement, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s also far quicker. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why us?
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- A fixed quote before booking
- No need to remove anything
- Normally one visit, start to finish
See our prices page or bath cost comparison.
The process
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes most of the day, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s normally ready the day after.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
Ask for a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
