Bath re-enamelling at your home in Highland
We don’t move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. It normally takes one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. We work on cast iron baths, acrylic baths and Victorian roll-tops, and common reasons people get in touch are stains that won’t shift and an outdated colour you’d like to change.
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for a full day. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.
Pricing in Highland
Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
Why customers in Highland choose us
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Same prices wherever you are

How to get a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
Local landmarks in Inverness
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to Inverness, Cavell Gardens and Maple Court Hotel and the streets around them. The nearest railway station is Inverness station, roughly 0.7 miles north of the centre. A little further out are Inverness Castle (0.5 miles north) and Inverness Museum and Art Gallery (0.5 miles north). Not far away are Tomnahurich.
Repairing versus replacing
Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Resurfacing in place avoids that entirely.
What your quote should include
- What aftercare is recommended
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What prep work is covered
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
When we would advise against a repair
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
- Steel that has corroded right through
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Looking after it afterwards
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
- Store bottles off the bath
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Highland. The price reflects:
- The material
- How many areas need work
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The type of damage
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Highland. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Quotes from your photos
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- The material, if you know it
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Natural light rather than flash
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
Highland questions
Can you quote from photos?
Nearly always. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Do you come to Highland?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Highland. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you re-enamel a roll-top bath?
Yes. We can do the inside and outside.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
How durable is a resurfaced bath?
It depends on preparation, use and care. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and it’s guaranteed for a year.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
What areas do you cover?
Across the UK, so Highland is covered. Prices do not change with location.
