We do not move the bath, so your taps, tiles and plumbing are left alone. It normally takes one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Re-enamelling is one technician, usually one day. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Colour-matched on site
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- One visit for most repairs

How to care for the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Never use suction bath mats
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs straight away
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, don’t pick at it. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so have it stripped and resurfaced.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to East Meon. The price comes down to:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The material and finish
- How many items we do on one visit
We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for East Meon. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Any details about the material
- Something in shot to show the size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A picture taken from further back
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
East Meon: your questions answered
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Hampshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Will there be fumes?
Yes, while we’re applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Will the price change on the day?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
What happens on the day
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Open a window if you can

Advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
What a repair cannot fix
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- A metal bath with a through crack
- A bath that is rusted through
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Materials we work on in East Meon
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
Do you need bath re-enamelling in East Meon?
The gloss on enamel is thin, and abrasive cleaning slowly wears it away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.
People normally call us after spotting something like this:
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- A roll-top that is seen better days
- Worn patches where water runs and sits
- Stains that will not shift
What to look for in a quote
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- What prep work is covered
- Who turns up on the day
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
